The WBF stresses the importance of teaching bridge to young
people and providing them with exciting and innovative events
in which to play. The future of Bridge as a sport lies with
young people, and the WBF is committed to doing everything
possible to assist with their teaching and further development.
To this end a number of events are staged by the WBF and EBL,
and more informtion about these can be found by clicking the
links to the WBF website on the menu to your right.

Age criteria for Youth Events:
The following decisions were made by the Executive Council in Brazil, 2009
To be eligible to play in a Youngsters Championship, the player must not have achieved his/her 20th birthday by December 31 of the year prior to the year of the Championship.
To be eligible to play in a Juniors Championship, the player must not have achieved his/her 25th birthday by December 31 of the year prior to the year of the Championship.
